GREAT SANKIRTANA PERSONALITY OF KRISHNA

Dear devotees,

dandavat and pranaams to your feet. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

On the Dvadasi-day after Papamocani Ekadasi, which this year is on Monday, the 23rd of March (equally in Europe as well as in India), we'll celebrate the appearance day of H.G. Aindra Prabhu!

It's always very nice and benefical to glorify a devotee on his appearance day although for the humble devotee who is getting glorified it might be a little bit of a tapasya...

Nevertheless, I think that this would be a wonderful opportunity to thank Aindra Prabhu for his most amazing, wonderful and self-less service he has been doing for years and years and/or to remember him on this day particularly!

It would be so nice if you could drop a few lines here if you feel some inspiration in your heart!

Jay jay Sri Radheeeee!!

AINDRA PRABHUJI IS GREAT PERSONALITY OF KIRTANA IN THIS MATERIAL WORLD BUT TODAY HE LEFT HIS BODY IN VRINDAVANA .... THATS VERY BIG NEWS FOR US WE HAVE LOST ONE OF THE GREAT SNKIRATANA STAR

THE PRINCIPALS OF VAISHNAVA CULTURE ..............NECTAREAN MELLOWS

“G u r u m u k h a p a d m a v a k y a"

Without that culture of respect, real spiritual advancement is stifled. Srila Prabhupada called this the International Society for Krsna Consciousness; in order to progress properly we need a society around us that is protecting the principles of Vaishnava culture and the basis of culture is respect. How to serve and how to respect everyone according to their particular position that is the subject matter of the verse today, to the spiritual masters, the diksa gurus or the Siksa gurus, and other senior people who are giving us transcendental wisdom, who are senior to us, in age, in realisation, in amount of time practicing devotional service, senior to us by living according to the principles of a asrama commands respect. To such persons it is our duty to offer proper respect, it is so important that Prabhupada went to such an extreme that he even said that even to mayavadis sannyasi you must offer him your obeisances, if you do not then you must fast for that day, how was this, why would we offer our obeisances to a mayavadi sannyasi? Prabhupada is saying in his books which are the teachings of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu that mayavadi are envious of Krsna they are personally, by their philosophical persuasion, they are trying to destroy the body of Krsna, they are trying to kill the pastimes of Krsna, they are blaspheming the name of Krsna by saying they are temporary manifestations of Brahman. Hare Krsna!!! Mahaprabhu said if you hear from mayavadis your spiritual life would be doomed. Hare Krsna!!! So obviously we should not hear such things but still if see we must offer obeisances otherwise we have to fast. Caitanya Mahaprabhu would not associate with them in any way but still when he would see them he would offer His obeisances because it is the culture of understanding, the principle of renunciation the sannyas order is the principle of renunciation and it must be held in veneration. No matter how many renunciates are rouges and thieves and fall down to illicit activities still if we want to have a culture, we can be Krsna conscious, we have to maintain respect and veneration for the principle of renunciation.
H H Radhanath Swami Maharaj

Chanting is a great service, when we chant we invite Krsna and Radha to our hearts and offer Them our service, our senses, our time, our voice and our love so They can take care of our whole life and engage us like They want to. This means we are surrended and we have complete faith the Lord will be there for us, to protect us any time in any situation we are in and we accept anything They give us. When we achieve this stage of complete faith we may understand our position as eternal servants and advance to pure chanting as our goal of life.
Chant:
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare

TIME AND PLACE

There are many quotes about when and where we should chant. Obviously during the Brahma Muhurta hour is ideal and in a peaceful non-distractive environment. The main thing is not to allow ourselves to get distracted by anything around us...even if we are in the most peaceful place with no sound...still we can allow our mind to wander to thoughts from the past, present and about the future. Having said that....finding a good place that is favourable for Japa is important to reduce the chance of distraction.
If you have a busy family life at home then try to go for a Japa walk or rise early enough before things get hectic in the house. If there is a will then there is always a way to chant our Japa with attention at the right time and place.

Caitanya Caritamrta Adi 1.4

(ORIGINAL)
People are suffering for want of knowledge of Krsna. So this movement especially meant to establish the cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is that you become, every one of you, you become a guru. How to become guru? Now, yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesa [Cc. Madhya 7.128]. Simply that qualification is sufficient. Don't adulterate the 'krsna'-upadesa. You simply present what Krsna says as it is. Then every one of you will become a guru. Don't adulterate -- "I think," "In my opinion." These nonsense things should be given up. We should always be aware that we are insignificant creature. Our opinion and thinking has no value. This should be the first principle. Why should you give opinion on the words of Krsna? Are you more authoritative person than Krsna? This is foolishness, to try to become more than Krsna. There are so many rascals....That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's instruction, gopi-bhartuh pada-kamalayor dasa-dasanudasah [Cc. Madhya 13.80]. The more you become servant of the servant, the more you are perfect. And if you all of a sudden want to become master, then you go to hell. That's all. Don't do that. This is the teaching of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu....Our mission is to establish the desire of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. That is our business. Sri-caitanya-mano-'bhistam sthapitam yena bhu-tale. Srila Rupa Gosvami did it. He has given us so many books...

WHY KRISHNA APPEARS AS JAGNNATHA ?

In a unique form, Lord Krishna is worshiped in a famous temple in Puri, India, and at Rathayatras (chariot festivals) there and around the world.
I was born in a conservative Orissan Vaishnava family in Puri, on the east coast of India. The Supreme Lord Jagannatha and His devotees were at the center of my life. As a child, I played with dolls of Jagannatha, Baladeva (Balarama), and Subhadra, the deities in the famous Puri temple. I still remember how my mother gave me enormous plates of Jagannatha prasadam and told me to always remember the Lord. I saw how the simple and devoted Orissan people—even doctors, engineers, and scientists—never neglect to honor Lord Jagannatha. I watched how the king of Puri becomes a humble servant and sweeps the street before Jagannatha’s cart during the yearly Rathayatra, or festival of the chariots.
Lord Jagannatha may look peculiar and strange to the Western world, but He is the life and soul of the Orissans. Even though I attended the Rathayatra festival for many years in my youth, it was not until I met the devotees of ISKCON that my devotion for Jagannatha deepened. Now Jagannatha is worshiped in many ISKCON temples around the world, and I have grown to see Him as the most merciful and charming person who excuses His devotees’ offenses and attracts them further along the path of devotional service.
Jagannatha means “Lord of the universe.” Many Vedic books mention that Jagannatha is Krishna. Baladeva is His brother, and Subhadra is His sister.
Although Krishna is absolute and transcendental to material nature, to accept the loving service of His devotees He appears before us as the deity in the temple, in the form of stone, metal, wood, or paint. Jagannatha is a wooden form of Krishna.
Because Jagannatha does not look like Krishna, people may wonder how He can be Krishna. Scriptures tell the story behind Jagannatha’s peculiar form.
Jagannatha’s Transcendental Advent
The Skanda Purana relates King Indradyumna’s quest to find a deity form of Krishna after dreaming of a beautiful blue deity named Nila Madhava. The name describes the sapphire color of the deity: Nila means blue, and Madhava is one of Krishna’s names. King Indradyumna sent messengers in all directions to find Nila Madhava, and a brahmana named Vidyapati returned successful. He discovered that Vishvavasu, a pig farmer (savara) in a remote tribal village, was secretly worshiping Nila Madhava. When Vidyapati later returned to that place with Indradyumna, however, Nila Madhava was gone. King Indradyumna surrounded the village with his soldiers and arrested Vishvavasu.
Then a voice from the sky proclaimed, “Release the savara and build a big temple for Me on top of Nila Hill. There you will see Me, not as Nila Madhava, but in a form made of neem wood.”
Nila Madhava promised to appear as wood (daru), and thus He is called daru-brahma (“wood-spirit”). Indradyumna waited by the ocean, where the Lord arrived as a giant log floating toward the beach.

Disguised an old man, Vishvakarma, the architect of the demigods, arrived to carve the deities under the condition that he would remain undisturbed for twenty-one days. King Indradyumna consented, and the artist worked behind locked doors. Before the time period was up, however, the noise stopped, and King Indradyumna’s intense curiosity prompted him to open the doors. Vishvakarma had disappeared. In the room, the three deities of Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra looked as if unfinished—without hands or feet—and Indradyumna became greatly perturbed, thinking he had offended the Lord.
That night, Jagannatha spoke to the king in a dream and reassured him, explaining that He was revealing Himself in that form out of His own inconceivable desire, to show the world that He can accept offerings without hands, and move around without feet.
Lord Jagannatha told the king, “Know for sure that My hands and feet are the ornament of all ornaments, but for your satisfaction, you may give Me gold and silver hands and feet from time to time.”
Devotees now worship the same “unfinished” forms of Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra in Puri and in temples around the world. These forms are part of their eternal pastimes.
Transformed by Rohini’s Talks
The Utkala-khanda of the Skanda Purana gives another account related to Krishna’s appearance as Jagannatha. (Utkala is the traditional name for Orissa.) Once, during a solar eclipse, Krishna, Balarama, Subhadra, and other residents of Dwaraka went to bathe in a holy pond at Kurukshetra. Knowing that Krishna would be there, Srimati Radharani, Krishna’s parents Nanda and Yashoda, and other residents of Vrindavana, who were burning in the fire of separation from the Lord, went to meet Him. Inside one of the many tents the pilgrims had set up at Kurukshetra, Rohini, Lord Balarama’s mother, narrated Krishna’s Vrindavana pastimes to the queens of Dwaraka and others.
The residents of Dwaraka are said to be in the mood of opulence (aishvarya), and they worship Krishna as the Supreme Lord. But the residents of Vrindavana are in the mood of sweetness (madhurya), and they have a confidential relationship with Krishna that surpasses awe and reverence because it is based on friendship and love. Rohini’s narration was thus extremely confidential, so she posted Subhadra at the door to prevent anyone from entering.
Krishna and Balarama came to the door and stood on Subhadra’s left and right sides. While listening to Rohini’s narration of Krishna’s intimate Vrindavana pastimes, Krishna and Balarama became ecstatic, and Their internal feelings were exhibited externally. Their eyes became dilated, Their heads compressed into Their bodies, and Their limbs retracted. Seeing these transformations in Krishna and Balarama, Subhadra also became ecstatic and assumed a similar form. Thus, by hearing about Krishna’s pastimes in Vrindavana, Krishna and Balarama, with Subhadra in between, displayed their ecstatic forms of Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra.
The Lord’s Highest Ecstasy
According to the Skanda Purana, the Jyeshtha-purnima, the full-moon day of the month of May-June, is the birthday of Jagannatha. Jagannatha is Krishna, but Krishna’s birthday is Janmashtami, in the month of Bhadra (August-September). This apparent contradiction is resolved if we understand that the Jyeshtha-purnima is the time when Krishna appeared in the form of Jagannatha with big, dilated eyes and shrunken limbs. This is known as mahabhava-prakasha, the ecstatic form of Krishna. Mahabhava means “the highest ecstasy,” and prakasha means “manifestation,” so Jagannatha is literally the ecstatic form of Krishna.
The poem Mahabhava Prakasha by the Oriyan poet Kanai Khuntia describes the confidential meaning behind the form of Jagannatha: He is the embodiment of Krishna’s pangs of separation from the residents of Vrindavana, particularly Radha and the gopis. Scriptures explain that intense feelings of spiritual ecstasy, especially in this mood of separation from a loved one, produce transformations in the body. Since Krishna is not different from His body, His internal feeling showed externally, and He assumed the form of Jagannatha.
The ecstasy of mahabhava is compared to an ocean. In the pastime with King Indradyumna, a giant log floated on the ocean. Similarly, the forms of Jagannatha, Balarama, and Subhadra float on the ocean of mahabhava.
When the sage Narada saw Krishna transformed as Jagannatha, he prayed to the Lord to appear like this again. Although the Lord is not obliged to anyone, He reciprocates with His devotees to fulfill their desires. In Garga Samhita Krishna states (1.27.4): “I am full—all the epics in one. Yet I surrender to the wish of My devotee and come in whatever form he wants.” Thus, just as Krishna appeared as Nila Madhava to satisfy Vishvavasu, He appeared in the deity form as Jagannatha and resides in Jagannatha Puri to satisfy the desire of Narada Muni.
This special form of Krishna is also known as Patita Pavana, the savior of the fallen, and anyone who takes His audience with proper consciousness is awarded spiritual liberation.
Jagannatha as Krishna of Vrindavana
Although Jagannatha is often identified with Krishna of Dwaraka, in the mood of opulence, His actual but confidential identity is as Krishna of Vrindavana, the lover of Radharani. The Jagannatha Chaitanyam says, “Radha stays in the heart of Jagannatha, and so does Sri Krishna.”
Krishna is known by His relationships, especially with the residents of Vrindavana, and devotees sometimes refer to Jagannatha in this way. Jagannatha is considered the consort of Radharani, who associates with Krishna only in His mood of Vrindavana. The ecstasy that resulted from Krishna’s love for Radharani caused Krishna’s transformation into the form of Jagannatha.
The Oriyan poet Banamali sings, “O Jagannatha, Yashoda’s dear foster son, Your Radha is like the chataka bird, drinking only the pure raindrops You shower as Your grace.”
In Vrindavana, Krishna assumes the graceful three-fold bending form (tribanga-lalita), and He wears a peacock feather and plays His flute. The Jagannathashtakam (verse 2) identifies Jagannatha with this mood: “In His left hand Lord Jagannatha holds a flute, on His head He wears peacock feathers, and on His hips He wears fine yellow silken cloth. From the corners of His eyes He bestows sidelong glances upon His loving devotees, and He always reveals Himself through His pastimes in His divine abode of Vrindavana. May that Jagannatha Svami be the object of my vision.”
The poetess Madhavi-devi, the sister of Ramananda Raya, writes in one of her songs: “The tender, sweet verses of Sri Gita-govinda bearing the name of Radha are woven into the khandua [pieces of cloth worn by Jagannatha each evening], which Lord Jagannatha holds close to His limbs.”

The Chaitanya-Chaitanya explains that Krishna came as Chaitanya to understand Radharani’s mood. During Rathayatra He danced in ecstasy in front of Lord Jagannatha (Krishna) to get His attention. In reply, Jagannatha consoled Him: “I never forgot any gopis or gopas, and especially You, Srimati Radhika. How can I forget You?”
Narada Muni revealed to Gopa-kumara in Brihad-bhagavatamrita (2.5.212–214): “Eternally as dear to Sri Krishnadeva as His beautiful Mathura-dhama is that Purushottama-kshetra. There the Lord displays His supreme opulence and yet charms His devotees by acting like an ordinary person of the world. And if you are still not fully satisfied after going there and seeing Him, then at least stay there for some time as the means to achieve your desired goal. Of course, your ultimate goal is pure love for the lotus feet of Krishna, the divine gopis’ life and soul—love that follows the mood of the Lord’s own Vraja-bhumi. You seek no other goal than that.” Love for Jagannatha is krishna-prema, love of Krishna, which is our ultimate goal. Krishna has become available to everyone in the form of Jagannatha.
Since Lord Jagannatha is none other than Krishna, His abode is equal to Vrindavana, where Krishna performs His childhood pastimes. Jagannatha Puri—also called Purushottama-kshetra, Sri Kshetra, and Nilacala (“the place of the blue mountain”)—contains all of Krishna’s Vrindavana pastimes (lilas), although they may be hidden from material eyes. The Vaishnava-tantra states, “Whatever lilas of Sri Krishna are manifest in Gokula, Mathura, and Dwaraka are all found in Nilacala, Sri Kshetra.”
By having the proper spiritual vision—eyes anointed by pure love of Godhead, krishna-prema—one can see all the pastimes of Krishna there.
Jagannatha is no one else but the ecstatic manifestation of Krishna, who appears in His most merciful form to help us go home, back to Godhead. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada has introduced the Jagannatha Rathayatra in many cities around the world to uplift the conditioned souls from the spell of maya (illusion). Let us take advantage of the occasion

A REAL STORY OF A KING

A old man reached in to the kingdom of king and said “god ! I m your cousin …… Once I was also like you ……. I had 32 servants but they left me by one by one ………. I had two close friends .. they also did the same and started not giving response to me……..I have two brother they are hardly able to do the things …..!
wife too responses badly.…….By seeing my problems, if you can help me than please……..
King gave the full respect to him and passed the packet full of money… after seeing this seen the member of kingdom had shown surprise…..and said that how could this poor person be your brother…..
The king said “This man realize me my responsibilities. He had 32 teeths now even a single is not there… two friends but not helping him out. Two brothers but due to insufficient power are not able to perform the things as desired. Knowledge was his wife…..but now due to age factor response here and there. My mother is prosperity and poorness….. And both are sisters. That’s why we two are cousin In relation. This old man is not saying anything wrong.”
By these things, the King got a message for himself and decided to devote his time for welfare of public, good work like bhakti of krishna .........
…………..so remaining his time giving in to the footed of lord Krishna and Radha Rani reason being people are not aware from reality no one can help to anyone … like your body will not be safe for you whether you are going to gym or taking meat, egg, liquor etc. like that I am focusing on current time whatever is going here and there....that’s very harmful to every human life because we are not conscious towards our bhakti….Right now we are in the mode of illusion “MAYA” So in this situation we can’t do bhakti of Krishna and like other demigods also after passing our age of 40 to 50 around than we will think over there ……. And we will cry oh lord! Please safe me! I don’t want money and honey but please safe me. So you know very well how it can possible every human life will go the hell means “SWARGA, NARAKA, BEKUNTHDHAM, GOLOK VRINDAVAN” like that its totally depend on our consciousness towards Krishna bhakti. So we having more and more time for Krishna bhakti in this material world so we can get the live residence of Krishna and Radha they living there we can get easily after bhakti of Krishna so please engaged with Krishna and firstly serve to Krishna because if will firstly to godhead than your bhakti will be increase so please and please CHANT HARE “KRISHNA MAHAMNTRA” and BE HAPPY.

HAPPY MAHASHIV RATRI

Happy mahashiv ratri to all ... its very important festival because most of the hindu family member going to GANGA and taking water from the GANGA means "GANGAJAL" afterthat those family member " KABERIYE" bringing a KABER with GANGAJAL and more decorated his KABER from cloth, jhaler, most of the atterctive material using over there than come to his villege, city, town like that whatever those belong than dedicate the GANGAJAL to "MAHADEV SHANKAR" .

Now in this time most of the ladies overstate involving this activity its very hard to everyone because if you are coming from GANGA than you have to come with bare footed "PEDAL" its main think towards KABER but some of the people coming with his trevling system like bus, bike like that ....

some of the group like which is from long distance towards "GANGA" they are having more speed rather than other because if they are not take speed may be they have been failed but everytime " BHAGVAN SHANKAR" with them so easily passed their target.....with enjoying like funny mood not in serious ...singing song, dancing so who external person including in that type of group than he will very happy he can also achive his target due to the group......

THE NEED FOR SADHANA

Basically sadhana is for those devotees which are serious about understand the Krishna means who is the prime in this material world so Krishna is prime who know that without sadhana there is no spiritual life at all because if you not aware for Krishna consciousness in this material world than again you can’t come in this “yonee” means human life. So please try to make more need for sadhana.
Sadhana means “spiritual practices” in bhakti yogaa (Krishna consciousness) sadhana is focused on hearing and chanting about krishna mahamantra.
HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE !
Sadhana must be strictly and in serious manner because if you not strict and serious towards your life than you can’t focus on your real happiness. This is the point for just now and than we ll doing sadhana but everyday sadhana gives us spiritual strength and decrease our temptation of illusion “MAYA”. WITHOUT this dedication towards Krishna consciousness than it is almost impossible to make advancement for Krishna consciousness even we having more feeling for Krishna like I will do it, I can do everything for Krishna consciousness. It is not possible if you are not conscious towards sadhana.
Sadhana our devotional services will not develop at peak level because we are not conscious for our sadhana so there is main thing for bhakti / sadhana with chanting and hearing Krishna consciousness for getting self actualization. Whatever we are working anywhere than please try to engaged with Krishna love “PREM”. Whatever you feel that we are in love of Krishna than we can go to “MOKSHA”. So first of all serve everything to Krishna because Krishna is prime/God head that’s why.
It may possible when we will conscious for our life means forgetting self actualization in this material world than whenever we feel that we are soul than we can do everything for Krishna like devotional services, chanting, hearing Krishna and spreading Krishna as well.
Bhaktivedanta shrila prabhupad ji conducted daily morning and evening programs of sadhana in his temple. Why on temple? Because this is a very attractive and devotional place for everyone. Firstly conducted the morning program by rising by 4:00 AM at least. Early rising is very good for serious devotee who giving more and more time for getting bhakti and spreading bhakti of Krishna name also because morning time is perfect time for spiritual practices. After rising, devotee baths get fresh and go to his temple and attend the MANGLA AARTI at 4:30 AM and TULSI AARTI than start HARE KRISHNA MAHA MANTRA…..
HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE !
This mahamatra japa on mala, join guru puja with all Krishna devotees after that hearing shrimad-bhagbatam class in voice of senior devotee/vaishnave/guru also.
The evening program of tulsi aarti , sandhya aarti , narshimha prayer than after attending bhagbat GEETA class. Mostly devotee who live at home or who are otherwise very busy than may spend gold time for performing sadhana in this material world. Few people having some time for sadhana but they mostly spending their time for his body and family like that things. In human life spiritual practice should be first priority and whatever we are doing for maintaining our body and all about our family that is a secondary things. Those who have been understand importance of Krishna consciousness- who know that very well without devotional services than our life is totally meaningless.

ALWAYS HEARING FROM ADVANCE DEVOTEE

Pure love for godhead Krishna is especially established in the heart of every living entities . it is not much to be increased from other sources means without the hearing and chanting hare Krishna mahamntra than not something gained from other sources this is main thing towards the importance of hearing about Krishna from advanced devotees .

Those who living close/ near to ISKCON it means near to international society for Krishna consciousness … centers can avail themselves of the opportunity for attend classes on the mode of Krishna consciousness with shrimada bhagavtam and shrimad bhagvada gita started morning and every evening most of devotees can listen recorded lectures of his divine grace A.C. BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA there is no difference between a pure devotee lectures and guru lectures so there point only is that we should engaged with senior /advanced devotee.

Actually most of the devotee comes first time in lecture and than influenced from the spiritual lectures on Godhead of Krishna but he confused for his doubt , difficulties , problems so in this situation we need lot of help from spiritual master means a senior devotee he can easily understand his problem give the right direction / right path for them what should do in this situation ……senior devotee can easily give right direction for self actualization.

So please don’t confused from any problem if want to come in spiritual mode in this mode everything will be fine for every human life in this material world so every time make contact, approach with senior/mature /guru like that try to engaged with them for taking guidance on the topic of Krishna bhakti/ mode of bhakti/ how we can leave from this material world like that .. so there will be most benefits for every people because he is pure devotee which is providing you a real information on the spiritual mode so please try make contact with senior devotee of Krishna , Guru, prabhuji……………..
